Story of man from Taraclia who has brought new sheep breed in Moldova
A man from Corten village, Taraclia district has an affair of sheep. He brought a French sheep breed. The farmer benefited of a grant worth 21 thousand Euro from SARD program launched by PNUD.
Stepan Sabia has this business for already 14 years. His sheepfold has 500 animals. The man says that he wanted to bring "Ile de France" breed in Moldova.
"This breed is different, as the meat production is higher. Due to them, we can provide Moldovan market with high quality meat", said Stepan Sabia, resident of Corten village, Taraclia district.
The farmer wanted to develop the French breed. Some of the sheep gave birth already. So, the man has 11 lambs.
"This breed gives 10% more meat than a simple breed. Also, these give birth three times in two years", said Stepan Sabia, resident of Taraclia village.
Stepan Sabia even created four jobs.
"I like the working conditions, I don't want another job", said Stepan Sabia, resident of Corten village, Taraclia district.
Totally, 30 business ideas have been launched in Gagauzia, in such fields as public food, agriculture, metal processing.
