Stray dogs in Capital sterilized with support of Romanian vets

140 stray dogs were sterilized last week with the support of Romanian veterinarians.
Chisinau authority invited the specialists as the vet in Chisinau asylum manage to sterilize only four strays per day. More vets are trained to perform sterilization quicker.
"We will improve every effort to improve our sterilization capabilities and dog breeding so that we won't have aggressive dogs on streets", said Ruslan Codreanu, the interim mayor of Capital.
Interim Mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, announced that in May, a mission of 11 veterinary surgeons will be brought to Chisinau to sterilize around 800 dogs.
Nowadays, there are over 220 stray dogs in the Asylum of the Capital. Animals are sterilized and are on a five-day recovery period, then return to the street again.
