A student from Tudora, Ștefan Vodă district, has launched his own agribusiness on European money. The young man purchased a tractor, used to work on dozens of hectares each spring and autumn, wrote IPN.
The young entrepreneur won a grant within the Support to Confidence Building Measures Program, financed by EU and implemented by UNDP. To gain the money, the young man passed a competition where he had to explain his business idea and prove that it will not fail.
With the money won from EU the student purchased a tractor and established an enterprise with three employees. The young man's father returned from abroad, where he worked a few years, and is now employed by his son. After two years, the company managed to gain revenue. The student is already thinking of further developing, by purchasing new equipment able to do more work, not only for the villagers, but also for people from neighbor settlements. The whole family is also contemplating on building a large fridge for storing fruits that will later be sold.
Dorin Țapu is among the over 70 young people who managed to gain European grants worth to 13 500 Euro to create or develop their own enterprise.
