Stunning archaeological finds in Costesti village (Ialoveni district).
According to archaeologists, over-700-year medieval tombs with bones dated back to the 14th century were discovered, the buried ones were not Christian.
"Those poor graves have no inventory with the west-oriented heads of buried ones. In fact, they were not Christians. We also discovered a large hundred-of-meter cemetery", said the Director of the National Archaeological Agency, Vald Vornic.
Those tombs were presumably surfaced due to this week's rain. The archaeological excavations will take a few days.
