A woman from Chisinau has decided to open an unusual business - a luxury lingerie workshop.

After graduating a design school from Moscow, she returned home to make her dream a reality. Now, the hobby became her job.

Ala Lerner dedicated 18 years to science and pedagogy, while at a moment, decided to open a business. After studying the market, she decided to step on new grounds in Moldova. The woman claims that it begun from a joke.

"I decided that it will be most useful. Having analyzed the market from the Republic of Moldova I have understood that it is free regarding luxury lingerie" workshop owner Ala Lerner explained.

The business required investments, therefore she applied in multiple projects and won over one million lei.

"We have invested 10% of our own money, while the rest was offered by the state, which helped us very much in acquiring the necessary equipment" Ala Lerner said.

"It is not so simple, because each model is unique and has to be adjusted" Ala Lerner said.

Ala Lerner claims that she wishes to extend her business. 

"We wish to expand, to sell our products abroad, because this is a solution. As the market from the Republic of Moldova is rather small" Ala Lerner explained.

At the moment, eight people are employed in the workshop.

"The atmosphere is pleasant, we work together at any model, suggestion, we can ask each other questions and as a woman, it is pleasant to work with lingerie" manager Olga Draguțan said.

The price of a set varies between 800 and 1 500 lei.
