With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, various conspiracy theories have emerged around the world. Moldovans also have different views on the COVID-19 outbreak. 

According to a survey conducted by the Watch Dog community, 42.4% of respondents support the conspiracy theory that Bill Gates or other rich people created COVID-19 to impose vaccination on everyone and thus control the population.

Moreover, 43.2% of the survey participants believe that the virus was created to force the vaccination of everyone with chips through which the World Government can then control all of humanity.

More than 38% of citizens say the Chinese created the virus in lab while 27.8% say the American created and delivered it China. 

Regarding the COVID-19 treatment and risks, 39.9% of the survey participants believe that garlic helps us protect ourselves from COVID-19, most Moldovans, 50.5% do not agree with this cure, 1% do not have heard about the cure for the virus, and 9 percent of respondents do not know what to say.

Moreover, over 56% of respondents say that vitamin C cannot cure us of coronavirus, 26.5% say that vitamin C can cure us of this virus, and 16% do not have a clear answer on this option.

The survey also shows that Moldovans are aware that coronavirus can attack not only the elderly but also the young. Nearly 70% of respondents say that not only the elderly are at risk of becoming infected and dying, but over 26% of citizens believe that only the elderly are those who can get COVID-19.

The survey was conducted between October 10-17, on a sample of 1,001 people and has a margin of error of 3 percent.
