SURVEY: DPM will win Parliamentary elections of February 24. Most of Moldovan citizens believe so
Every third Moldovan is confident that the Democratic Party of Moldova will win the elections on 24 February. At least that's what a recent survey by IMAS shows. According to the study, most citizens put their hopes in the party led by Vlad Plahotniuc when it comes to raising living standards, pensions or developing infrastructure.
The poll shows that over 31 per cent of respondents believe that the Democratic Party of Moldova will win the Parliamentary elections by the end of this month.
At the same time, 24 percent of Moldovan people believe that the Party of Socialists will get the most votes from the voters. While less than eight per cent of those interviewed are convinced that the block created by the PAS-PPDA binomial will won.
As for the electoral campaign conducted by competitors, the IMAS survey shows that DPM is the most active and visible and has the most attractive campaign. This is a third of the participants in the study.
Just over 20 per cent of Moldovans consider socialists to be the most active, more than ten per cent see the actions taken by the "Shor" Party, and just over eight percent of the PAS-PPDA binomial block.
Asking what party will succeed in raising people's living standards over the next four years, almost 24 percent said the Democrats would do the best. In this chapter, PSRM recorded a score of over 22 percent, and the PAS-PPDA binomial block - 14.5 percent.
IMAS data also shows that most citizens believe that the entire Democratic Party of Moldova will manage to create new jobs, improve the state of the roads, support retirees and bring more foreign investment in the country.
The IMAS survey was commissioned by the Foundation for Modern Democracy from January 19 to 31, on a sample of 1507 respondents from 112 localities. The margin of error is 2.5 percent.
