The National Bureau of Statistics show that each second retired from Moldova works in agriculture. Totally 120 thousand Moldovans are involved in this field.

Thus, the statistics show that the majority of them are man aged over 60, almost 60%.

10% are involved in industry and 7% in education, while 5% in trade. 14% of women are involved in education and 7% in health and social assistance. 6% of the retired woman work in trade field.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, 10% of the population are involved in this field. Almost 2/3 are aged between 60 and 64, while 1,5% over 80. 66% of them are from villages. The retired work on an average 34 hours per week.
