Tajiks association in Moldova SUPPORT uninominal voting system: Politicians closer to the people
Tajiks NGO community in Moldova supports the uninominal voting system.
According to representatives of the Association, the uninominal voting system will expand represents of the regions and minorities in the legislature. Moreover, the uninominal voting system would bring politicians closer to the people.
"Changing the current electoral system by introducing the uninominal voting system will expand minority rights. Only then we will have a representative in Parliament. Citizens' interests will be protected due to the introduction of the uninominal voting system" , reads the statement of the Association of Tajiks in Moldova.
According to the latest polls, nearly 80 percent of Moldovans want the uninominal voting system and in the Diaspora this percentage is higher.
