Telemedicine cabinet to be opened in Ungheni hospital
Cabinet that will provide telemedicine services will be opened in Ungheni, due to a project funded by the EU.
"Thus, the surveillance cameras that will be installed in the Ungheni health centers. The doctors will talk with the patients to consult them. For the hardest cases, they will ask for advice from their Ukraine colleagues.
Ungheni district has over 20 villages. Because of family doctors lack, some health centers have only nurses.
"We are trying to implement a new consultancy service, doctor-doctor, doctor-patient in order to solve the medical problems and the medical emergencies", said Vadim Rusu, doctor at Ungheni district hospital.
Within the project two hospitals from Ukraine are involved. The doctors say that this kind of consultancy can save somebody's life.
"It is not only a cabinet, it is a whole system. I have also seen such systems in Romania and Poland. If it works, everything is going to be fine. Due to this system, the doctors can consult the patients any time", said Vasile Suharob, director at Emergency Hospital from Ukraine.
"This is a great idea. This project is necessary for our country", said Andrei Alexeev, director at Ungheni district hospital.
The innovation is appreciated both by doctors and patients.
"It will be very comfortable and simple. It will also save our time."
The second stage of the projects provides to boy surveillance cameras.
