The driver who hit four persons on the cross walk is a lawyer. The 34 year old driver is from Chisinau.

The incident took place yesterday, when the lawyer was driving on Zelinski boulevard. He didn't stop at the traffic lights' signal. The man hit four persons, among which, two children, after what he left the place of the accident. After the impact, the passers-by received traumas and required medical treatment.

In a short time, after leaving the accident, the suspected threatened some civilians, with the gun he owned legally.

The suspected was detained for 72 hours. The results of the alcoholic test said at the moment of the impact, the driver had a concentration of 0,84 mg/l alcohol in his blood.

The prosecutors initiated two penal cases for beaching the circulation rules while being drunk and threatening.

If found guilty, the suspect risks between 4 and 8 years in prison and losing the driving permission for 4 or 5 years.
