The audio interceptions of Sunday rally organizers have been made public. What they really were up to.
Several members of the political party "Partidul Nostru," led by the fugitive criminal, Renato Usatîi, planned to organize more provocations during the rally organized on July 30. The statement was made by the head of the Police General Inspectorate, Alexandru Pînzari, who noted that the investigators are analyzing several audio interceptions to this effect.
"URECHEAN: - We'll have an action tomorrow night.
DANDARA: What will it be?
URECHEAN: - An action.
DANDARA: - Action?
URECHEAN: Yes.
DANDARA: - Ok. Got it. "
"The interceptions feature telephone conversations between Serghei Urechean and Sergei Dandara, both members and leaders of the party headed by Renato Usatii, Partidul Nostru. On the night of 29 July, the two of them talked about organizing some actions that looked like provocations and that were scheduled for the night before the rally, " the IGP head, Alexandru Pînzari, said.
On July 30, several opposition parties and politicized NGO-affiliates organized a rally against the mixed voting system. Before the rally started, several boxes full of diapers were installed for the leader of the Dignity and Truth Party, Andrei Năstase, on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard.
"URECHEAN: When are you leaving for the event?
LIVIU: I do not know. At about 19:00 or 20:00.
URECHEAN: - I think we'll be organizing it on Saturday.
LIVIU: What are you organizing on Saturday?
URECHEAN: - On the night of Saturday to Sunday. What we previously talked about, the meeting, you know. We need to find out what we do at night.
LIVIU: OK. Tomorrow we will send the message."
However, Năstase accused the local police of installing the boxes.
"The media has shown a video featuring two people dressed in reflective vests installing these banners, while a third participant keeps watch. Andrei Năstase accused the Police of acting as accomplices to the ones who installed the banners, without looking into the matter or analyzing the real situation," said IGP head Alexandru Pînzari.
Renato Usatîi has not urged his party members to protest as he had done before. Neither did the leaders of the fugitive mayor's come and stand in front of the protesters alongside Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase. Earlier, the fugitive mayor of Bălţi had planned several provocative actions. In the autumn of 2015, more than three tons of faeces were poured onto the stairs of the former Liberal Democratic Party headquarters. The images of the act were later published on a social network by Renato Usatîi, and the then PLDM leadership accused him of organizing this.
