The results of IMAS polls, closest to Parliamentary scrutiny results
The IMAS sociological company demonstrates that its pre-election polls were closest to the results of the 24 February Parliamentary elections.
There is a small difference between the figures obtained by the parties on the national list and those estimated by IMAS, said company director Doru Petruti, presenting the figures compared to the results of the elections, as well as the surveys of other companies.
"Most of the other companies have provided another order, another ranking, placing the bloc NOW. As we see that the result on the territory of the Republic of Moldova has pulled out the PSRM, DPM, the ACUM block and then the SHOR", said the director general IMAS, Doru Petruti.
According to the director of IMAS, Doru Petruti, the intention of voting the entire sample was compared with the results obtained by the political parties in the country.
The latest IMAS survey predicted that the Socialists would score a score of 33.7 per cent of the votes, including the undecided ones. The figure is 1.3 percentage points higher than PSRM managed to achieve at Sunday's election.
The company also predicted the results of the Democrats correctly. The difference between the study and the score is only half a percentage point.
As for the votes of the PAS-PPDA block, the error was somewhat greater. The IMAS study showed that the alliance of Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase would gather less than 22 percent of the votes, while the result was 24.3 percent.
At the same time, the experts of this company were the only ones who estimated that the "Shor" Party would pass the electoral threshold by six per cent and will accede to Parliament. The margin of error of the research to which IMAS refers is plus minus 2.5 percent.
