They are runner-up in international artistic skating competitions but still must train on rollerblades
They have leading position in international artistic skating competitions, but training takes place on rollers. This is about 20 young people from Chisinau who have won trophies and medals at dozens of international competitions.
The 20 young people train daily in a Chisinau shopping center with a roller skate. Their coach is Aliona Bobeica, a young woman practicing this sport. Born in Chisinau, she grew up and studied roller-skating in Russia. She has returned to country for several years.
"When I came back to Moldova, I didn't think to be a coach. I'm still passionate in staking and I accepted an invitation to be a coach to teach the children", said Aliona Bobeica.
Children have to train on rollers, because the only skating rink in the country where they can train only work in three months in the winter.
Elina Şavga has won silver medal at a competition in Ukraine, said she had to put great effort to achieve these performances.
"We are very trying to reach our competitors for a whole year without breaks. We know they have better conditions than ours", said Elina Şavga.
Parents say the children's passion is costly, but they are ready to continue to support them. All they want is an adequate space for training.
Our athletes are heading for the contest in June in Barcelona.
