They saw their dream come true with First House. A family with two children from Capital managed to buy an apartment
After 15 years of renting, they finally reached their home. Thanks to the First House Program, a family with two children from the Capital managed to buy an apartment. The spouses say that this change was only possible because the state compensates for 25 percent of the credit they received.
Sergiu Cujba is a professional driver. For almost seven years, the man has been working at a sausage company, and his wife is home for eight months.
This autumn, the family moved to an apartment of 48 square meters.
"We wanted something suddenly so we could live, that it's hard to make repairs and to live with the host, 530 thousand who gave us the bank and 10% we paid for", said Sergiu Cujba, the beneficiary First House Program.
Until now, the family has crammed into a dorm room, but the First House program has changed their lives.
"It's possible, it's easy, you do not wait a lot, 3-2 weeks and the bank offers, do not be afraid they will not pay, better than paying for rent, better paying for your own home", said Mariana Cujba, the beneficiary of the First House Program.
The son of the family, an eighth grade student, is passionate about basketball but wants to become an English investigator or teacher. The boy says that he has long dreamed of his room, where he can do his homework and rest.
"I have my room, I can relax normally, be quiet in my room, I can call my friends at my home, not only me at home to go but they come to me", said Dorin Cujba.
The First House Government Program was launched in March 2018, at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
According to the regulation, beneficiaries, up to 45 years old, must have an initial contribution of up to ten percent of the contract value.
The state provides compensation to budgets and families with many children.
Since the launch, over a thousand talents have applied to the program.
Of the beneficiaries, over 750 are young families, and nearly three hundred are unmarried.
According to estimates by the head of government, in 2019, around three thousand credits will be granted under the same program.
