Three men, aged between 24 and 29 years old, from Chisinau, members of a criminal group, were arrested on suspicion of blackmail.

It was established that at the end of December 2017, the suspects, aiming to gain the goods of other people through blackmail, have threatened and beaten two young people under the pretext of some existing debts, demanding from the victims 6 000 Euro.

Following, on June 26, when the money were being handed over, one of the suspects was caught red handed. The second man was arrested when attempting to flee the crime scene, while the third man was arrested after searches.

If found guilty, they risk a 11 to 13 years sentence.
