Three Moldovan citizens are investigated for transporting a batch of new and used auto parts. The cars loaded with goods were detected last week by the mobile teams of the Border Police General Inspectorate.
During the inspections in the area of competence of the Leuşeni Border Police Sector, the members of the mobile teams noticed how an Audi and a Volvo, both with Moldovan registration numbers, were traveling along the border line. In order to verify the legality of their stay in the border area, the decision was made to stop trafficking, namely on the direction of Dancu-Rîşesti localities. Three citizens of the Republic of Moldova, drivers and a passenger, aged between 34 and 38, were legalized on the spot. As a result of machine verification, border guards detected 180 new and used auto parts, for which men could not show papers of origin. From the later investigations it was found that the goods were illegally introduced at the Leuşeni crossing point, with the confirmation of the entry of both cars in the country.
The cargo lot was detained at the SPF Leuşeni headquarters, until the circumstances of the case were elucidated and the necessary legal measures were taken.
