Three swine fever outbreaks found in Moldova
The laboratory results made in Spain show the will boars from Orhei, Cimislia and Cahul are infected with swine fever. The National Agency for Food Safety registered three outbreaks.
At the beginning of November, the swine fever was found to many pigs from some households of Palanca and Tudora villages of Stefan Voda district.
It is assumed the virus was brought by the wild boars who pass big distances and get easily involved in the affected zones. This is an alert reason, as the haunting season already started.
The Republican Veterinary Diagnosis Center found the virus in three of 52 meat probes , that were presented by Cimislia, Orhei and Cahul districts.
For a reconfirmation, the probes were sent to a laboratory from Madrid. According to ANSA, now there are three outbreaks in the country. It is about the bypass of forestry from Orhei, Cahul and Cimislia.
Also, on November 30, another swine fever case was found in a household from Carpineni village, Hancesti district. The outbreak was liquidated.
ANSA issued an order that provides for the ban on the transport of pork products and of such animals from countries affected by the disease. Also, there was forbidden to sell pigs in markets.
