Tiraspol provokes Chisinau again. Separatist leader Vadim Krasnoselski signed a so-called decree stating that Varnita village in Anenii Noi district is temporarily under the control of the Republic of Moldova , and administration functions are exercised by alleged local structures in the village of Proteagailovca.

In this context, Prime Minister Pavel Philip has asked the Foreign Ministry to notify the mediators and observers in the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.

The Foreign Ministry is to address representatives of the OSCE, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and the United States to address this issue in the 5 + 2 negotiations format and at the Vienna OSCE Permanent Council meeting.   

Until 1992, when the Nistru conflict began, Varnita was in Bender. Now it is part of the Anenii Noi district.
