Today Moldova celebrates National Day of Traditional Costume
With the occasion of National Day of Traditional Costume, in 20 districts and in Gagauz Autonomy will be organized exhibitions of national costumes from Moldova and Romania, handicraft fairs and creation workshops.
The guests will also have the chance to try Moldovan food.
In Chisinau, the Traditional Costume Day will be organized at the Palace of Republic, and two parts of Bucuresti and 31 August streets will be transformed into a real fashion runway, where models will show national costumes.
Publika TV will broadcast live the events dedicated to the festival.
The National Day of Traditional Costume, celebrated on the last Sunday of June, was instituted by the Parliament at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture on 19 November 2015.
