Top Moldovan entrepreneurs awarded during gala (PHOTOREPORT)
The Business Association of Moldova has awarded the best entrepreneurs in the country during a gala premiere. The festive event gathered hundreds of businessmen, investors and diplomats accredited in Chisinau. With messages of support to the business community came Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Speaker Andrian Candu and Businessmen Association founder, Vlad Plahotniuc.
"It will be an evening during which we will celebrate the performance of business community in Moldova. I hope you will feel comfortable with colleagues and friends, along with successful leaders and entrepreneurs" , said general manager AOAM, Andrei Crigan.
The founder and Businessmen Association of Moldova, Vlad Plahotniuc, stressed the importance of a thriving business environment, which is a key factor in ensuring the welfare of citizens by creating well paid jobs and social responsibility.
"I want to assure you that we will make order in the country until the end. We will implement necessary investments to country's economy for it to become powerful, and to become attractive for investments. I promise that we will do everything possible to create business conditions in Moldova. We will find solutions, conditions, we will create opportunities that the environment may not lock" , said Vlad Plahotniuc.
The head of parliament, Andrian Candu, who previously headed the Association, spoke about the importance of a healthy economic environment for the country's modernization:
"The business environment keeps the economy, the business depends on the results and welfare of the state and of the country. But this year, I hope very much that we have also succeeded in terms of legislation and creation of laws to bring even a small contribution to the welfare business. "
The business environment has Government's full support. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, who also attended the gala:
"Development of business, transforming business environment in Moldova in very attractive and comfortable, is key priority of the Government, I have the honor to lead."
23 winners were honored with awards in five categories. Several criteria was taken into account for granting the trophy such as turnover, number of employees, investments, profits and exports.
Thus, "LUKOIL-MOLDOVA" has registered the highest turnover in 2015 in the category of private foreign companies and "ROMPETROL MOLDOVA" records the highest growth in turnover in the category of large companies.
However, at the AOAM initiative, business people could have make donations to support three vulnerable families with winter holidays.
According to organizers, the hardships experienced by Madalina Ogorodnic, Valeriu Popov and the Rusu family from Chisinau have impressed businessmen who have donated to encourage causes supported by AOAM.
