Today, in Sofia village, Drochia district occurred the second edition of the Hangu de la Sofia festival. The event gathered a lot of folk dance bands from the country and also from Romania. 

"It is very beautiful here", said a woman.

"It will be great to organize such festivals yearly", said a woman.

The mayor of the village said he came to this idea last years. He intends to make a tradition out of it.

"Here we have guests from other districts and Chisinau. Sofia village has a lot of people who made us proud", said Veaceslav Mageleas, the mayor of Sofia village, Drochia district.

Also, in Fantanita village, Drochia district, dozens of horses participated at a race.

"Starting 2013, they organize races. The first time, I came here with a friend and we got addicted of the races", said Nicolae Popa, participant.

The riders received diplomas and money.

"I have never won the first place, but I was always ranked second or third", said a participant.

People were amazed of the competition:

"We like the horses a lot."

At the event also came guests from the Parliament.

"Fantanita village has a lot of traditions and they always surprise us", said Corneliu Padnevici, PDM deputy.

The horse raises are organized the second year.
