Former Romanian President, Traian Basescu, said Rogozin is one of the most coward politicians that he knows. Băsescu made the statement in an interview for the Romanian press.

"One of the most coward politicians that I know of is this individual – Rogozin. A real coward. Rogozin behaved like a crazy from the Islamic state. He boarded a plane with passengers, among which were children, being fully aware that he was banned on EU territory," said former Romanian President, Traian Basescu.

Traian Basescu criticized Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin harshly after the Russian dignitary attempted to cross Romania's airspace on July 28 to reach Chisinau.

Rogozin boarded the plane even if he knew he was on the European Union's ban list. As a result, the politician was forced to go back.
