14 firefighters have been deployed to extinguish a fire in a train in the railway station of the northern Moldovan town of Balti.

The firefighters have discovered that the engine of a locomotive caught fire and quenched it within 20 minutes.

Only the engine room was destroyed by the fire, as an inquest has been started.
