"Tricolorii" to play qualification matches for Fifa World Cup 2018
In the next few days, our football team "Tricolorii" will face two opponents and fight for the qualification in the Fifa World Cup 2018.
This Saturday they will face the team from Belgrade, the match taking place in Serbia, while on 5th March Igor Dobrovolski's team will host the team from Wales, last year's semifinalist from the championship.
"It makes me happy knowing that the football players are known, both in Moldova and abroad. Now the coach has to chose and decide who will participate in the match" Moldovan Football Federation's President, Pavel Ciobanu, declared.
Moldovan football players have yet to bring any victory home, their only goals so far being from their matches with Georgia, 1-1 abroad and 2-2 on home field. Therefore our team is currently placed last in the D group. Despite the fact that "Tricolorii" haven't technically lost the match, their last victory was back in 2013, scoring 5-2 against Montenegro.
"We are mere onlookers such as yourself. The outcome of a match depends solely on how well the players perform. We always hope for the best outcome" Pavel Ciobanu added.
Moldova will play its second match against Serbia, while the fourth against Wales.
