Tudor Ulianovschi and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed abolishing visa regime for Moldovans
The possibility of abolishing the visa regime for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the extension of the Moldovan-Emirates relations in various fields, were discussed today in Abu Dhabi by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Emir Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the officials, the abolition of the visa regime for Moldovan citizens will further encourage the expansion of the Moldovan-Emirates relations, which have significantly developed in all areas for the last time.
"An eloquent example is also the Moldovan-emirates Economic Forum, which is being held today in Dubai, where the business environment of both states establishes new partnerships, examines the possibility of implementing investment projects and promoting export and import activities. The abolition of the visa regime is very important for Moldova's business environment because our country is interested in promoting products and services both on the United Arab Emirates market and in the Arabian Gulf region, "the head of Moldovan diplomacy said. In this context, Minister Ulianovschi emphasized the special interest of the Moldovan business community to participate in the "Dubai 2020" Exhibition.
For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova appreciated the decision of the Moldovan authorities to open the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing that this will contribute substantially to boosting the Moldovan-Emirates relations in all dimensions, including the abolition of the visa regime.
The Emirate Minister welcomed the decision of the Chisinau authorities to participate in the Dubai 2020 Exhibition, considering that this would be a good opportunity to promote national goods, establish new partnerships with both the Emirates and other Gulf states.
Tudor Ulianovschi and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan also referred to the establishment of stronger relations between the interior ministries of the Republic of Moldova and the UAE, which will allow for good practices on the concept of "safe sity", innovative programs for smart delivery security and security services for citizens, organizing training courses and exchanging experience in different areas of crime prevention, and working with subdivisions with special missions.
During the dialogue, ministers exchanged views on cooperation in regional development, environment, culture, economy, etc. Minister Tudor Ulianovschi launched an invitation to Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit the Republic of Moldova for the continuation of the bilateral dialogue, which the latter accepted.
