Tudor Ulianovschi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, participated in the second edition of the prestigious Bloomberg Global Business Forum, which brought together world leaders and representatives of reputed companies internationally.
The Bloomberg Global Business Forum program has been conducting discussion sessions focusing on global finance, investment perspectives, economic migration, demographic change, and major economic challenges in Africa, Asia and Europe. The Forum also announced future partnerships and initiatives: Intensifying the Gender Equality Index and supporting the Global Compact on Migration.
The Climate Change Summit, moderated by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, part of the Forum Program, gathered, according to the organizers, heads of states and governments from over 70 states, over 200 global business leaders representatives of the public and private sector, international financial institutions and global organizations. Minister Tudor Ulianovschi participated in extensive discussions on the consequences of globalization, efficiency in economic development and resource allocation.
At the event, Tudor Ulianovschi had a discussion with Michael Rubens Bloomberg on the opportunities and benefits of potential public and private projects in the Republic of Moldova, particularly infrastructure, services, ICT development and digitization, media and financial and economic analyzes. At the same time, the discussion discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the philanthropic group - Bloomberg Philantropies, the latter conducting a large activity in approximately 120 states, implementing during the year 2017 projects worth US $702 million.
Forum officials have agreed on the need to coordinate efforts at regional and global level to address the major challenges that exist in interstate trade relations and to build lasting partnerships between government institutions and the business community.
During the thematic sessions, centered on the importance of innovative technologies as the "engine" of global growth and the need to strengthen economic partnerships against the background of interaction between financial systems, the head of Moldovan diplomacy pointed out the relevance of exploring investment opportunities for the rise of commercial and economic relations in the region of Europe Of East.
