Tudor Ulianovschi: Cooperation with NATO is very important for us
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is opened to cooperate with the Republic of Moldova in all the fields. A declaration in this sense was made by Rasa Jukneviciene within the meeting with Tudor Ulianovschi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The NATO President of Parliamentary Meeting pointed out that the cooperation with NATO is an alliance based on peace and democracy. It is a successful one, because in the last years many reforms have been implemented in such fields as: environment, education, military and so on. Rasa Jukneviciene highlighted the importance of continuing the European Path, the democratization and the modernization.
"NATO will always support you and fill give you advice in the security and defense fields", said NATO President of Parliamentary Meeting.
At his turn, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi appreciated the cooperation relationship with NATO as an important one. The chief of the Moldovan diplomacy thanked NATO for signing the regulation on the withdrawal of the foreign troops from our country.
Tudor Ulianovschi said that the Republic of Moldova authorities will cooperate with NATO, in order to provide its national security.
"Today, we have proved that Moldova not only needs to be protected, but it also can protect others", said Minister Tudor Ulianovschi.
NATO Parliamentary Meeting is an inter-parliamentary organization that gathers 29 member countries and 12 associated members.
The Republic of Moldova is an associated member of the NATO Parliamentary Meeting since November 1994.
