Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, had a meeting with Ming Yang, President of the Chinese Meanwhile Union in Germany, discussing the prospects for cooperation and the Government's interest in attracting foreign investments in the country's economy, reiterating the opening for a constructive dialogue with Chinese and German business.
At the meeting, Minister Ulianovschi reviewed the latest reforms promoted by the Government of the Republic of Moldova to improve the business environment by creating optimal conditions for business development, attracting investments and ensuring their security. The head of Moldovan diplomacy referred to the success stories of foreign investors, including German and Chinese companies operating in the Republic of Moldova, including the territory of free economic zones, highlighting the interest and willingness to expand direct communication with business and business associations in Germany, to attract new investment projects.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities of promoting Moldovan exports on the Chinese market, including the exploitation of cooperation opportunities through the Belt and Road program, involving Chinese companies in various national projects for modernizing road infrastructure, energy security and in the digital education sector of the Republic of Moldova.
Ming Yang, in turn, supported the development and realization of concrete projects in areas of common interest, noting that participation in the "Moldova Business Week 2018" Forum aims at documenting the priority sectors of the Moldovan economy, the market potential, the preferential conditions, which would could develop different cooperation projects with our country.
Ming Yang is President of the Union of Chinese Enterprises in Germany, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Europe, Senator in the German Economic Senate, founder of the German-European SME Center in China, Honorary Professor of the "Southwest Minzu" University of China, and delegate to the Consultative Council of Foreigners in the Land of Hessen, Germany.
