Tudor Ulianovschi: Japan is an important partner for the Republic of Moldova. They support us on European Integration path
Tudor Ulianovschi, the minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration paid a working visit to Japan. There, he discussed about the bilateral dialogue between the two countries.
Tudor Ulianovshi discussed with his colleague from Japan, Taro Kono, the National Diet (Parliament), the officials within the Japan Agency for International Cooperation, the Japan Trade Organization, the Association of the Tourism Agencies and the Federation of Japan Businessmen.
Within the meeting with the representatives of the export companies from Moldova, the official discussed the problems of this sphere and the possibilities to develop the potential of national services and products that could be transported to Japan.
Now, in the Republic of Moldova, three Japan projects are about to be implemented. The projects are worth 58,4 million Euro: efficient use of solid fuel, developing medical services and destroying pesticides in our country. In March 2017, Japan and Moldova signed an agreement to implement the "Conservative Agriculture - Developing a Sustainable Soil Management System in the Republic of Moldova" program, due to which, the Japan Government offers 4,8 million USD to our country.
At his turn, the Japan official talked about the investment possibilities of the Chisinau authorities of the commitments made in the ongoing projects, expressing the hope that the negotiations on the identification of concessional credit in the agro-industrial field will be forthcoming. Minister Tudor Ulianovschi welcomed the intention of JICA and informed about the opening of the competent authorities in our country to examine these proposals in a constructive and constructive manner.
In talks with Tadashi Shimura, President of the Japan Travel Agencies Association (JATA), there have been consistent exchanges of views on ways to attract tourist groups from Japan to the Republic of Moldova. In this respect, the proposal for the development of some thematic concepts for the public in Japan, such as "The Tree of Life", "Moldova Wines - A Legend of Life", "From the Heart" was promoted, as well as the assistance of the companies from our country for participation in the specialized exhibitions in the industry tourism.
The agenda of the Moldovan official included a speech about the priorities of the foreign politics of Republic of Moldova, followed by a session of questions of the Japan press.
