Two children from Moscovei village, Cahul district were saved last night after their house burst into flames, while the parents were away.

According to the source, the flames destroyed 15% of the house and an annexed building of 16 square meters.

After arriving at the scene, rescuers and firefighters from Cahul managed to save from the fire an 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. Both siblings are in no danger.

According to the firefighters, they received a call at 00:22 local time. At the time of the incident the children were home along, the parents being in the village. Furthermore, the two were locked in the house.

Specialists are investigating the case to establish the cause of the fire.
