Two hours before polling stations will be closed: Where is the most active vote
Less than two hours remained until the polling stations and the Republican referendum were closed.
At the today's poll, 2,141 voting stations were opened in the country and abroad. Here are the most recent information about the vote.
Until now, about 1.3 million citizens have voted, a figure that accounts for 46% of all people who can vote.
Compared to the 2014 parliamentary elections, the number of today's voters is lower, which in that year constituted more than 50 percent of this time.
According to the latest data from the Central Electoral Commission, the most requested polling stations are in West London and Dublin.
The CEC also announces that in Transnistria about 35,000 voters have already been elected. In the region, even if people are transported to polling stations, the action is not considered illegal, but the case has been documented.
According to the CEC president, Alina Rusu, there has been no attempt of multiple voting.
Voting age profile: 53% of voters are women and 47% are men. The most active voters are aged between 56 and 70, representing about 35%. The most passive remain youngsters up to 25 years old with an 8% participation.
"The CEC has received several complaints, which are characterized by a few phenomena: the electoral campaign, I want to remind you that the law provides for the possibility and the right of both electoral contestants and citizens to make electoral agitation on the day of the election, but the ban is for the polling stations or the entrance to the polling station", said earlier Alina Radu, the head of the Central Election Commission.
The Central Electoral Commission will come with more details in a briefing at 22:00.
