Two men, of 28 and 40, were caught while attempting to illegally enter Romania, through Prut river.
At the end of last week, border guards have noticed two people using a sinuous path and seemed to be lost.
A team has immediately approached them, deciding that they had no right to be in the area. One of the suspects did not possess any identification documents. Therefore, they were taken to the Border Police Department.
One of the men was wanted by German authorities, an arrest warrant being issued in his name in Europe for drug trafficking. The second Moldovan proved to have a history of attempting to illegally cross the border, him being previously caught in 2012 trying to enter Romania.
The investigation is ongoing.
