Two paramours from Ungheni district will spend the next years behind the bars, being convicted for human trafficking and sexual harassment.

According to the prosecutors, between March and May 2015, the defendants recruited three women in the same district and promised them a well-paid job in Italy. The girls were supposed to work as waitress.

On May 2015, the victims were detained by people of the law at the Romanian border.

 The 45 year old man was sentenced to 12 years in prison and his concubine will spend 8 years behind the bars.

The sentence can be contested.
