Two policemen from Soldanesti caught red-handed while receiving a bribe

Two policemen from Soldanesti district were detained by anti-corruption prosecutors and National Anti-corruption Centre, being suspected of passive corruption. They are patrol inspectors who allegedly asked for a bribe of 2,500 lei for not making a contravention minutes to a drunk-driving man.
The policemen were caught while receiving the money under the CNA control. The men will stay in arrest for 72 hours.
On this case was opened a penal cause, and the suspects might receive detention from 5 to 10 years, a fine of up to 160,000 lei and the privation of having specific public positions for a period of up to 10 years.
