Romanian airport authorities say planes from KLM and Scandinavian Airlines have made requests of emergency landing at Bucharest’s international airport. There were no reports of injuries.
The first request was from KLM Airbus A330 traveling from Kuwait City to Amsterdam with 298 passengers after one of its engine started consuming extra fuel. The flight will decide whether to continue the flight.
The second came from Airbus A321 flying from Copenhagen to the Greek island of Rhodes after a passenger became ill. The medical staff was provided after that.
