Two uninominal constituencies will be opened in Transnistria within 2018 elections
For the Parliamentary elections form 2018, in Transnistrean region there will be two uninominal constituencies, while for Diaspora there will be three seats. The decision was taken today within the Committee Meeting.
The proposals will be submitted to the Government.
''The north part, Dubasari, Camenca and Ribnita will be in a constituency and the second one will be on the Grigoriopol, Tiraspol and Slobozia regions. There is just a few of them, but if we want this territory to be ours, then we should have it represented'', said Iurie Ciocan, CEC's president.
Within the meeting the experts established the final borders of those 46 uninominal constituencies.
11 of those will be in Chisinau, two in Balti and Gagauzia and one in Taraclia.
The proposals were supported by the majority of the members of the committee, except the socialist representative and Igor Dodon's adviser who were unsatisfied about the borders of the constituencies.
The law according to mixed voting system provides 50 deputies to be elected on the party list and other 51 by the citizens.
