Two young people from Moldova killed a man because he did not give them money to drink
At the insistence of prosecutors, the Court of Appeal aggravated the penalties for two defendants accused of home violence and intentional body injury or health, resulting with a person's death. Based on the evidence presented by prosecutors, the defendants were sentenced to 7 years and 6 months, respectively 5 years and 8 months imprisonment.
According to the criminal prosecution materials, the defendants entered the household of a couple from Corjeuti village, Briceni district, on the night of March 16, 2018, beating the hosts. After the fight one of the victims - a 22 years old young man died and his concubine suffered injuries.
Being audited by prosecutors, the defendants partly acknowledged their guilt, saying they had recourse to this thing because the victim refused to give them money for drinking.
The abusers, aged 20 and 27, are inhabitants of Edines and Rascani districts, and they worked for several months in Corjauti.
The decision is enforceable, but may be appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice.
