Ukraine imposed economic sanctions over a three-year period of the metallurgical factory in Ribnita under the authority of the authorities on the left bank of the Nistru River.
The decision was taken by the National Security Council of the neighboring country and involves blocking assets, limiting commercial operations, preventing Capital withdrawal in Ukraine, and banning public procurement.
The Ribnita factory was included in a list of more than a thousand natural and legal persons in Russia punished for Moscow's aggression against Ukraine.
Among the Russian officials included in the list are Chechen president, Ramzan Kadirov, Russian Defense Minister Serghei Soigu, PLDR leader Vladimir Jirinovski and artist Iosif Kobzon. The sanctions were imposed on May 2, but the list was made public only now.
Ukraine accuses Russia of engaging in the struggles in the eastern neighbor of the country and has illegally annexed the Crimean Peninsula in 2014. Moscow has vehemently denied all allegations.
