Ungheni will host first edition of Chestnut festival
At the beginning of this year, Ungheni will host one of the most important events of the year. The City Hall will organize the Chestnut Festival, in partnership with the National Office of Wine.
Almost 40 years agon, in Ungani was planted the biggest chestnut alleyway from Moldova. Meanwhile, it became an important touristic attraction, especially, when the trees bloom.
"The idea to organize the Chestnut festival was launched a couple of years before. This year, we decided to make a project. We hope it will be a good one"m said Eduard Balan, the deputy-mayor of Ungheni.
According to the organizers, the festival will be a specific one, it will gather different arts, such as: painting, photo crafts, music, dance and gastronomy.
Within this event, there will be arranged different zones: children zones, arts, sports amateurs and a competition zone. The gastronomic zone won't miss, where there will be presented traditional food and the main food there will be made of chestnut.
The event will gather both guests from the country and abroad, representatives of the neighbor districts of Ungheni, famous people, artists and famous bands.
Such events are yearly organized in Lozova (Strășeni) – "Bostaniada", Cobusca Veche (Anenii Noi) – "Lavanda Fest", Briceni – "Festivalul Cartofului", Cimișlia – "Festivalul Strugurilor", Năpădeni (r. Ungheni) – Festivalul "La plăcinte", Holercani (r. Dubăsari) – Festivalul "iProsop", Cricova – "Must Fest", Orheiul Vechi – "Gustar".
