The government in Chişinău plans to limit the influence of Russia and to continue its approach with the European Union.

This is shown in a report presented on Tuesday in the United States Senate and signed by US Intelligence Director Daniel Coats.

According to the document, Russia does not give up attempts to expand its influence on the former Soviet countries and will try to take advantage of the elections in Ukraine and Moldova to bring them back into its sphere of influence.

However, according to US analysts, the government in Chişinău plans to limit Russia's influence and maintain the European integration commitment of the country.

The report also shows that Moscow will try to profit the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held in Ukraine this year, and the ultimate goal is to remove Poroshenko from power.
