A group of young people from Chisinau decided to prepare an uncommon gift to Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, who recently celebrated his birthday. They came up with the initiative to rename Lunca Bicului Street, in the capital, on which the purification station is located, into Dorin Chirtoaca Street.

"We want to initiate a petition to rename a street, which is quite important for Chisinau, to name it in honor of Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. This is where the purification station is located, which gives us alluring smells all year round. Initiative is not meant to make our city better, it is just a gift for our mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and must be treated as such", says Adrian Plesca, honorary president of the "Orașul Meu" (My city) organization and initiator of the petition.

The young man says that 5000 signatures are needed, which can be collected online, and later the initiative will be submitted to the Chisinau Municipal Council.
