USA and USAID will continue offering Republic of Moldova technical and financial support

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici met today with United States Ambassador to Moldova, James Pettit, Assistant Administrator for USAID's Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman and USAID Mission Director, Karen Hilliard. The officials spoke of intensifying collaboration, as well as opportunities to develop the business climate.
Chiril Gaburici spoke of the gained results following implementation of joint projects between Republic of Moldova and USA, especially projects implemented through USAID, favoring economy development, bringing benefits to the citizens and contributing in developing the business environment.
Here, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure mentioned the importance of collaboration between Moldova and USA, expressing his gratitude for the constant support and substantial contribution for the implementation of structural reforms and the financial assistance offered by the USA, through various bilateral collaboration projects.
Chiril Gaburici also reiterated that the priority of Moldova's Government is to create opportunities and to facilitate entrepreneurs, as well as simplify the procedure of launching a business.
"Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure come with suggestions and solutions to relaunch entrepreneurship and simplify bureaucratic business administration procedures, creating a more comfortable life for businessmen. We constantly speak with representatives of the business environment, discussing the hardships they face, suggestions and identified solutions" Chiril Gaburici explained.
Minister of Economy and Infrastructure also solicited the support of USA and USAID to continue unfolded joint projects, facilitating the bilateral dialogue.
"We wish to develop and extend the IT parks, promote Republic of Moldova as a touristic destination and promote local products on foreign markets. Therefore, the support offered by USA and USAID will facilitate in strengthening the bilateral trade relations, which will become a real support in all prioritized areas of Republic of Moldova" Chiril Gaburici said.
In his turn, Assistant Administrator for USAID's Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, appreciated the positive changes registered in Republic of Moldova and mentioned the importance to continue reforms to modernize economy and improve business environment.
USAID Mission Director, Karen Hilliard greeted the good collaboration relations between Moldova and USA, as well as the reforms implemented by authorities in the sectors of national economy, especially IT, regulatory reforms,as well as the creation of opportunities for the business environment. The foreign officials also mentioned their wish to continue the bilateral dialogue and their support for Republic of Moldova in successful implementation of economic policies. USAID will also continue offering financial and technical assistance, encouraging the business environment to invest in Republic of Moldova.
