Valeriu Ghileţchi: Maia Sandu supported mixed voting system, even if now she opposes

Valeriu Ghiletchi reminds his former party colleague, Maia Sandu, that the mixed electoral system was promoted by PLDM, on whose list the current PAS leader was also nominated. Valeriu Ghiletchi, deputy speaker of Parliament and deputy of the Popular European Parliamentary Group, said in an interview for Moldpres that Maia Sandu then supported the change of the electoral system, even if now she opposes it.
"The European People's Party voted through the members of the European People's Group, we supported the change of the electoral system. In fact, a change that was in the program of the Liberal Democratic Party, all of whom belonged to the European People's Group, were on the same list. Moldova, on whose list Mrs. Maia Sandu also applied, who opposes the change of the electoral system", said Valeriu Ghileţchi, deputy of the Popular European Parliamentary Group.
The parliamentary elections will take place on 24 February 2019. The ballot will be organized on the basis of the mixed system. 50 deputies will be elected on party lists and 51 - directly by citizens, in uninominal constituencies.
