Valeriu Malarciuc, the intermediate between Renato Usatii and Vitalie Proca within Gorbuntov file was sentenced to four years in prison. The punishment was announced by the magistrates of the Appeal Court. The sentence can be contested at the Supreme justice court.

The defendant who was not present in the court hall was announced in international search. Malarciuc was accused on smuggling worth 30 000 euros two years ago.

"According to the declarations of an eyewitness, the money were received by Valeriu Malarciuc  from Russia and determined Vitalie Proca to change his declarations regarding Gorbuntov's life attempt. He should have said that Renato Usatii is involved in this case", said Elena Ceruta, PCCOCS prosecutor.

Gherman Gorbuntov was attacked in London, in March, 2012. The man escaped and the British authorities suspect he was attacked by Vitalie Proca.

According to Gorbuntov, the killer acted at Renato Usatii's command.
