Romanian passports could be extended longer validity.
This solution was proposed by Romania's Interior Minister, Carmen Dan, for the infernal tails at the counters for issuing passports across the country, writes adevarul.ro.
Romanian Interior Minister Carmen Dan announced that he initiated a bill to extend the validity of passports from 5 to 10 years for people aged over 25.
The minister informed the possibility of online programming, and the Romanians abroad could submit the necessary documents for the passports change at the consulates.
In early June, there were queues of hundreds of people at the services for issuing passports across Romania, many of whom claimed the maladministration and bureaucracy as the main causes of this situation.
