Vegetables and fruit, cheaper in July

Prices for goods and services fell by about one percent in July compared to June.
The cost drops were caused by the abundance of vegetables and fruit from the new crop on the market, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
Prices for eggplants have fallen by almost 56 percent, followed by tomatoes - by over 52 percent and sweet peppers, which have fallen over 30 percent.
Fruit prices dropped on average by 6.5 percent.
Between January and July, inflation raised by 3.8%.
For this year, the National Bank of Moldova forecasts an inflation of 6.5 percent.
