The vehicle insurance and the green card of the car are 15% cheaper this month. The owners of the transport companies say that they make big discounts now.

Ghenadie Sajin manages a transport company from Chisinau. He operates mane routes in the EU.

"We release 15 green cards yearly. Previously, we pay over one thousand Euro for a green card, now it is 900. Thus, we make a discount worth 250 Euro", said Ghenadie Sajin, manager of a transport company.

The company saves over 3 thousand Euro monthly. The drivers are happy about the discount. For example an assurance available 15 days from the EU is 120 cheaper and costs 680 lei.

"It is great that the green card costs cheaper now. In Romania, it costs 1000 lei, while in Ukraine it is cheaper."

"It is very good for the people who travel."

Starting February 1, the drivers pay 15% less for the vehicle insurance.

The new rules voted by the Parliament recently, provide simpler rules for the drivers. Thus, the commissions will be removed. In the Republic of Moldova there are 14 companies that release vehicle insurances. Nine of these also release green cards.
