The Constitutional Court will be exposed today on the Liberal Party's referral to the consultative referendum, initiated by President Igor Dodon.
Liberals say the plebiscite is unconstitutional, as some subjects proposed by the head of state cannot be subjected to a referendum, moreover, the procedure provided by the Supreme Law has not been followed.
According to the decree signed by Dodon, the referendum's scheduled on September 24th. Almost 75 million lei is allocated for this consultative exercise.
The president wants to consult the Moldovans on four issues: the transfer of public debt to the emergency loans offered to three banks, the deputies reduction from 101 to 71 and the introduction of Moldovan histories in schools.
