Choosing a single pro-European candidate to run for Mayor of Capital, was discussed today by political expert, Victor Juc, after PDM's weekly session.

" I believe that the elections, set on May 20 2018 will pose a great opportunity to evaluate all protagonists who wish to take part in the general elections. The situation is similar to Romania from 2014, when general elections followed the local ones and officials could test their forces. 

My reasonings are based on the following facts:

It is impossible to establish a single candidate to represent all pro-European parties, as they are split into two major groups. On one hand we have the governing party PDM, which is not very supported in the Capital, while on another hand we have the opposition.

Furthermore, I believe that in the first round the winner will be highlighted. I am on 90% that a second round will be required and then, history from 2011 and 2015 will repeat itself.
